Warriors' Curry, Kerr each fined $25,000

NEW YORK - Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and head coach Steve Kerr have each been fined $25,000 for separate incidents, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

Curry, occurred with 4:22 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Warriors' 115-101 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers during Game 6 of The Finals on June 16 at Quicken Loans Arena.

Kerr has been fined $25,000 for public criticism of the officiating during his press conference following the same game.

The NBA announced Tuesday that coach Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors has won the NBA's Coach of the Year award for the 2015-16 season.

Kerr received 64 first-place votes and 381 points for the award in the voting of many media members in the United States and Canada. Portland Trail Blazers' coach Terry Stotts was second with 335 points, while San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was third with 166 points.

Kerr finished second in last year's voting of the award, finishing behind Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer.

Kerr is expected to receive the trophy on Wednesday night prior to Game 5 of the Warriors' first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets.
